2018-2019 Annual Benefits Enrollment

Annual enrollment for the 2018-2019 benefit year began Sunday, July 15, and continues until 11:59 p.m., July 31.If you wish to change your benefits or re-enroll in UT FLEX, you must make these elections during the enrollment period. If you do not wish to make any changes, no action is needed. However, we recommend that you read the materials you are receiving, review your current coverage, and consider all available options for you and your family. 

A new option for medical coverage

This year, we are excited to introduce a second medical plan option, UT Connect, available to UT System employees and non-Medicare retirees in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. UT CONNECT provides access to a full range of adult and pediatric care through the Southwestern Health Resources Network. The network includes over 4,200 physicians (all UT Southwestern physicians, Texas Health Physicians Group, and other affiliated physicians in the DFW area), all UT Southwestern hospitals, Texas Health Resources hospitals, Children’s Health, and Cook Children’s Medical Center.

Other features include:

  • Administered through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas
  • The same core benefits as the UT SELECT medical plan
  • Lower deductibles and copays
  • Lower monthly premiums for dependent coverage

However, to receive benefits through UT CONNECT, you must select a primary care physician (PCP) to coordinate your care, and you must receive all care from physicians, hospitals, and health care providers participating in the UT CONNECT network. Click on link for more information: UT Connect

MyEvive is a new benefits app and portal brought to you by the University of Texas System. MyEvive provides a personalized health, wealth, and wellbeing experience.  You can download the MyEvive app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

UT Connect will be holding two information sessions to introduce the plan and answer any questions you may have.   The sessions will be in the Maverick Activities Center (MAC) on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm in the Lone Star auditorium.

Benefits Fair

We encourage you to attend our UTA Benefits Fair on Tuesday, July 24, to speak with representatives and ask any specific questions you may have about our benefit programs.
