PURPOSE: To provide administrative and professional nursing skills for a designated patient care area and to coordinate assigned personnel. Responsible for managing and coordinating various activities necessary to the maintenance of an efficient patient care program for the University Immunization Clinic.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates and directs the daily operation of the University Immunization Clinic. Enforces and maintains strict compliance with and all UTA immunization requirements. Provides any necessary notifications to applicable state agencies. Administers various vaccinations to patients. Educates patients on diseases and treatment options. Advises and counsels students. Reports and coordinates with appropriate state agencies concerning any abnormal results. Prepares the clinic's yearly budget, monthly financial reports and maintains monthly statistical records. Performs other duties as required. Present various immunization programs to campus and community groups as appropriate. Light travel as necessary.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General review by Nursing Supervisor, UTA Health Center. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: General instructions and over-all review of clinic staff

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree in nursing and current Texas license. American College Health Certification, or equivalent.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Minimum of two years of Clinical Nursing Experience OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work with standard health care facility equipment. Extremely accurate in following written or oral instructions. Usual health care facility conditions. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated to this classification render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
