PURPOSE: Perform and coordinate the provision of advanced or highly advanced interpreting works utilizing comprehensive or specialized skills with knowledge and practice of interpreter ethics. To coordinate the provision of interpreting services for the university student community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interprets (voice to sign or sign to voice) for hearing impaired individuals for the university student community. Coordinates all aspects of interpreter services for students, including recruiting, hiring and supervising full-time and/or part-time interpreters. Consults with faculty regarding service requests. Assists students in scheduling classes to facilitate provision of interpreter services. Provides deaf awareness education for the University community. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education
REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Certification by Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (BEI level II). Bachelors degree in a related field.
