PURPOSE: To provide administrative and supervisory skill in the management of the Registrar's Office. Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Registrar's Office, including the maintenance of academic records of applicants and students.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the registrar in managing the Registrar's office and maintaining student records. Develop and administer operational policies and procedures relating to the sheets for final production and distribution. Advise and consult with administration and management regarding problems associated with the Registrar's office. Resolve problems regarding academic student records. Serve on university committees as required or needed. Perform related duties as required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: Limited supervision from the Registrar. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: General supervision to clerical staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree in any business or related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Five years of experience as a supervisor in university records and experience with database as well as computer applications. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Standard office equipment. Extreme accuracy in the maintenance of academic records. Usual office conditions. Occasional evening and weekend work necessary. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated to this classification render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
