PURPOSE: To provide professional counseling skills in the fields of psychology and social work. Responsible for the utilization of specialized skills to counsel students and clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides skilled vocational, educational, personal and social counseling for students, both individually and in groups. Administers and scores vocational and personality tests. Utilizes techniques to enhance client self-esteem and motivation. Works with students toward realistic goal development. Records and maintains progress files on student clients. Plans, develops and conducts seminars and workshops. Performs developmental skills building, academic skills training, assessment and prescription. Performs related duties as required. Participates in informative college programs on campus and in the community.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education
REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Master's degree or equivalent in social work, sociology, clinical or counseling psychology, or counseling and guidance.
