PURPOSE: To provide for the skillful examination of students personal and academic credentials and to accurately process these forms to meet individual needs. Responsible for certifying seniors for graduation and to determine those eligible for honors. Also responsible for reviewing and evaluating college transcripts and requests for major changes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate the processing of all undergraduate degree plans and applications for graduation. Solves more difficult evaluation problems. Review and compares completed course credits to approve degree requirements and notifies students of course work which must be completed for graduation. Counsel's students in person, over the phone as well as by correspondence concerning their degree plan. Advise students on graduation requirements. Confers with faculty with regard to acceptable course substitutions for a particular degree. Answers questions concerning degree procedures and requirements to various academic departments. Receives and processes applications for graduation. Performs related duties as required. Prepare statistical reports on University graduates. Determines eligibility for scholastic honors. Trains new degree plan evaluator and assigned clerical personnel.
