PURPOSE: To provide supervisory, institutional and promotional skills in the management of a game area. Responsible for directing games and activities for the receipt of funds and providing business management of the activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages and supervises the operation and maintenance of the bowling lanes in conformity with American Bowling Congress standards. Publicizes and schedules league play. Assists players, moderates rules, insures that equipment is in acceptable operating and playing conditions. Performs related duties as required. Assists in conducting game clinics and staff conferences. May serve as student committee advisor and on other program committees as requested.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General supervision and review for over-all effectiveness by Director-Operations. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: Direct supervision to Games Area Attendants and to custodial personnel assigned to the area.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Two years college (AA degree in bowling lane management).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Two years of experience in a games area, using and maintaining recreational equipment, with one year of supervisory experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of bowling equipment, cash register and computer terminal. Proficiency required in all phases of work performed. Working conditions considered acceptable, but involve walking, standing and exposure to one or more disagreeable elements such as dust, poor ventilation, cold or heat. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated to this classification render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
