PURPOSE: To provide professional knowledge, advice and counseling skills regarding the institutional student graduation process. Responsible for supervision and counseling and for all aspects of routine and non-routine graduation policy and procedure requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise the processing of all undergraduate degree plans and applications for graduation. Counsels' students regarding graduation requirements, deficiencies in grade points and a variety of other problems. Determines whether degree requirements are fulfilled for graduation as well as verifying that candidates meet designated honors requirements. Distribute permits for early Registration to qualifying seniors. Informs Deans and departments on interpretation, requirements, substitutions and waivers of particular degree plan activities. Remain abreast of changing state regulations concerning degree plans. Manages computerized degree audit system and updates main file. Composes correspondence of a complex nature, orders and inspects diplomas. Assists in arranging undergraduate commencement exercises. Prepares reports and survey questionnaires. Performs related duties as required.
