PURPOSE: To provide advanced professional knowledge, advice and counseling skills regarding the institutional student graduation process. Responsible for supervision and coordination of degree plan and diploma production processing for the office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the operations and staff of the degree plan and diploma production processing areas. Helps develop priorities and goals for the section and counsels staff on office policies and procedures. Monitors quality service and ensures academic compliance with all University, state and national rules and regulations. Coordinates degree plan processing for a set of colleges. Develops and maintains degree requirements tables and exceptions information. Follows course and curriculum adjustments and monitors impact on degree planning process. Educates users on degree plan facility and reports. Performs related duties as required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General supervision from Associate Registrar. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: Frequent supervision of lower classified Graduation Counselors, support staff, and student workers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Six years of experience counseling students in academic and scholastic matters, with a broad knowledge of institutional graduation requirements OTHER REQUIREMENTS: CRT, personal computer, typing may be required by employing department. Accurate in all phases pertaining to the graduation process and degree plan evaluation. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated to this classification render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
