PURPOSE: Participates in and assists in supervising student life activities in a residence hall. Assists in coordinating the work of Resident Assistants and clerical staff and for aiding students in adjusting to the college environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in the hiring, training and supervision of Resident Assistants and clerical staff. Schedules work assignments. Handles discipline and emergency situations when necessary. Acts as a referral agent for personal and academic problems. Coordinates programming activities. Maintains accurate records on each student including occupancy reports. Advises and trains hall council members. Provide discipline and counseling for hall residents. Attends regular staff meetings with Housing Office. Facilitates or participates in regular workshops for hall directors or Residence Assistants and chair committees. Prepares weekly activities schedules. Performs related duties as required.
