PURPOSE: To coordinate and perform responsible administrative and clerical duties in the admissions process and in the recording and maintenance of student records. Responsible for maintaining student files and academic records; for advising applicants as to admission requirements and procedures; for registering students; for assisting medical students in applying for national board examinations; and for compiling and preparing statistical data for internal use and government reports.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews graduate and undergraduate applications for eligibility to pay in or out-of-State tuition fees. Responsible for determining students' residency status through verification and proof of documents and certifying that requirements are met for admission. Advise applicants of State Residency policy as to admission requirements through correspondence and telephone contact. Maintains student files and records. Uses independent judgment in resolving complex problems. Interacts with Coordinating Board, Admissions Office and Legal Counsel on current policies and regulations. Interprets policy practices and procedures concerning proof of residency and in-state tuition regulations. Supervises staff work progress when necessary. Assists administrator in performing administrative duties. Performs related duties as required.
