PURPOSE: To plan, supervise and direct the student development program in a large residence hall or residential complex. Responsible for supervising the administrative tasks related to the operation of the residence hall or residential complex.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans and supervises student life activities of residential units. Assigns duties to student development staff. Conducts staff orientations. Promotes student government. Promulgates and implements rules and regulations governing residence hall life. Counsels with individuals and groups of residents. Works with the Director of Residence life and Conference Housing in planning activities and administering the residential program. Assists with summer programs as assigned. Performs related duties as required. Hears student disciplinary appeals. Inspects residential facilities and recommends needs to the Director of Residence life and Conference Housing. Assists in the collection of delinquent rent, guest fees and damage assessments.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General supervision from Director of Residence life and Conference Housing. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: General supervision over all housing personnel assigned in the student development area, including Resident Assistants, Site Supervisors or other live-in staff. Direct supervision of Head Resident and Housing Coordinator I employees and clerical support staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree in guidance, student personnel, or a related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Two years of experience in university residence management, including supervision of student development personnel. Teaching and/or counseling experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: None. Proficiency in all phases of duties performed. Excellent. Scheduled on-call hours. Some occasional night, weekend and holiday work.
