PURPOSE: To oversee a floor or wing of undergraduates living in a residence hall. Responsible for student counseling, discipline and referral. Also plan social and educational programs and some administrative detail.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Attends staff and committee meetings, staff training sessions, work at the reception desk and assists with programming, available for on call duty rotation for nighttime building supervision. Performs related duties as required. Evacuate hall during emergencies, which require climbing stairs quickly and unlocking doors.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General supervision from the Hall Director. SUPERVISION: N/A REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Second semester freshman with completion of 14 credit hours and a 2.5 GPA.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Residence in a dormitory, or other related group living, for at least 1 year. (Prefer incumbent to have experience working with public.) OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Standard office equipment. Proficiency in all phases of duties performed. Required to live in the residence hall with majority of time spent in contact with students. Meetings, programs and work hours may be any time during the weekend or evening hours. The position is a live-in job with hours of work determined as needed. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated to this classification render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
