PURPOSE: To serve as a liaison between the financial aid advisor for an assigned caseload of student aid recipients in the Office of Student Financial Aid and other campus departments as well as parents and other non-institutions. To present a high degree of initiative and judgment in responding to individual needs of students and applying Student Financial Aid policy and federal regulations to case work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Use provided information to determine eligibility of students for financial aid. Counsels and advises students regarding their financial options and responsibilities within the programs available in the Office of Student Financial Aid. Prepares and reviews forms and reports as required by program action. Performs liaison activities with other departments or agencies as casework necessitates. Performs related duties as required. May require occasional travel for the purpose of liaison activity. Ensures compliance of the program with financial regulations and communicates these regulations to borrowers.
