PURPOSE: To manage the construction of multiple construction projects to assure they are completed and accordant with contract specifications. Responsible for scheduling and maintaining accurate construction projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interacts with contractors, construction inspectors and other university personnel to attempt to satisfy all parties involved in the construction phase of different projects. Schedules project work with various departments that are furnishing material and/or labor for portions of work in specific projects. Maintains and monitors accurate progress schedules and implements steps to assure contractor's completion of projects by the date established in their contract. Maintains logs for contractor submittals, requests for information and changes of proposals to provide a summarized source of information pertinent to the project. Reviews and approves contractor's invoices for payment. Evaluates contractor's invoices for payment and assists in responding to contractor's request for information. Assists in developing means and methods to improve the construction program effort. Performs related duties as required.
