PURPOSE: Provides on-site management, supervision, and programs to enhance the quality of life for students in university-owned apartments and houses. Responsible for employee supervision, property management, property inspections, policy and procedure administration, records administration, resident communications, community development and response to resident concerns.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruits, selects, trains, supervises and evaluates an on-site student apartment management staff responsible for services to a designated apartment region. Provides on-site property management services for the university-owned apartments and houses with assistance from student management staff. On call 24 hours, 7 days a week for emergencies. Provides emergency lock-out services. Visits properties regularly to perform a wide range of property related inspections and on-site resident services and reports findings. Performs move-in and move-out inspections for a designated community of residents. Assists in the implementation of policies and procedures related to the management of the rental properties. Interprets regulations and decides on questionable cases. Recommends changes. Maintains on-site records related to resident occupancy, apartment inventories, and keys. Assesses cleaning, carpet, and damage charges. Assists leasing staff during periods of peak activity. Responds to resident concerns. Recommends community development programs. Keeps residents informed of University issues affecting them. Assists with on-site eviction related activities. Performs related duties as required.
