PURPOSE: To provide the administrative and technical skills necessary to support the activities of a large inventory section. Responsible for inventory control and delivery.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Checks vouchers to determine if item should be classified as permanent movable equipment; records the receipt of permanent movable equipment; completes the assignment and the attachment of an inventory number; supplies information for compilation of inventory reports; assists department officials in verifying inventory reports. Delivers to and picks up from departments on campus including Fort Worth UTACC. Performs other duties as assigned. Back up for Central Receiving; Assist in annual campus-wide inventory

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: High school graduation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Two years of experience in inventory methods and accounting procedures or related outside experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of data processing equipment capabilities. Use of computers and calculators. Extremely accurate in the maintenance of records. Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions. Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification may render the position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
