PURPOSE: To perform supervisory work directing and coordinating housekeeping and custodial maintenance and related building services. Responsible for the direct or indirect supervision of all building service employees, and for organizing, planning, and directing a program of custodial management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspects building or areas for which responsible. Reviews the work of subordinates engaged in custodial and related activities. Advise administrative superiors of need for building repairs and maintenance activities. Interviews, screens and selects employees for custodial workers. Requisitions, receives, maintains, and distributes material and supplies for custodial work. Establishes work schedules. Performs other duties as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General supervision from the administrative superiors for conformity with established standards. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: General with detailed instructions for special assignments

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelors degree in a related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Three years of supervisory experience in custodial maintenance work or related management activities. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of cleaning and janitorial materials, equipment and methods. Acceptable, however involve exposure to chemicals, tools, and cleaning machinery. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated to this classification render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
