PURPOSE: To provide service and information to students, employees and visitors; to enforce the rules and regulations of The University of Texas System pertaining to the operation of vehicles on the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington. Responsible for enforcing regulations pertaining to parking of vehicles on the University of Texas at Arlington property and to safeguard buildings and property under the control and jurisdiction of the University of Texas at Arlington.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides a wide range of services to students, employees and visitors; checks buildings for necessary repairs, security risks, and safety hazards; screen individuals entering fixed post buildings; provide personal safety escorts; respond to fire alarms; respond to elevator rescues; conduct monthly building security surveys; respond to and evaluate medical emergencies; conduct injured person investigations; issue parking citations; must possess sufficient strength and stamina to be able to assist in emergencies; must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time; must be able to hear and respond to audible alarms and radio voice transmissions; must be able to operate a passenger shuttle bus along established routes, as well as on extended over-the-road trips; and perform any related duties.
