PURPOSE: To provide the technical skills involving the preparation issuance, and maintenance of equipment, materials, and supplies used in the Department of Nursing, Learning Resource Center laboratories and Art department by students and faculty. Responsible for preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, media, computers, and materials; or for acting as stores clerk. Answering student, faculty questions, assist them with laboratory work and assist faculty in preparation for nursing skills laboratory experience and media arts course work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Procures, prepares, and issues materials. Prepares lecture demonstrations and sets up nursing/media skills laboratory equipment and audio-visual equipment. Assists students using computers and preparing computer graphics and other media/audio-visual materials. Stores and prepares media for delivery; keeps record of supplies and equipment used; checks equipment in and out; checks equipment for breakage or damage; performs minor maintenance to keep equipment in good working order. Provide clerical support and computer skills to the department. Performs related duties as required. Assists or conducts periodic inventory of supplies and equipment.
