PURPOSE: To provide supervisory and budgetary support in the operations area of the E.H. Hereford University Center. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating a retail unit, technical service unit and/or set-up crew. Oversees the evening/weekend operation of the building.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interviews, selects, supervises, develops training programs and evaluates student staff. Disciplines and/or counsels student staff as necessary. Interprets and disseminates University and University Center policy and procedures to staff. Prepares and monitors area budgets. Inspects building for potential security problems and safety hazards and submits written reports to supervisor. Identifies purchasing requirements for area and prepares appropriate paperwork. Develops and implements systems necessary to collect information or room set-up needs with reserving client (s). Anticipates and determines relations programs for the retail areas and the University Center. Performs other duties as assigned.
