PURPOSE: To provide assistance in enforcing parking and driving regulations and guiding vehicular traffic at the university. Responsible for assisting students, employees and visitors in locating campus facilities, controlling traffic and enforcing parking regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Directs vehicles to their destination. Patrols parking areas to ensure that only authorized vehicles are using the parking facilities. Observes traffic and parking violations and issues campus citations for infractions of rules. Submits daily activity reports. Performs related duties as required. Assists with related record keeping and report writing.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: Direct supervision from University Police supervisors. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: None.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: High school graduation. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: One year of experience involving extensive public contact. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to operate a CRT and a two-way radio. Proficiency in all phases of work performed. Extensive walking, riding, and standing Exposure to the elements. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated to this classification render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 5 1.2 15 Texas Education Code.
