PURPOSE: To provide dependable clerical and manual assistance in all areas of an exchange store. Responsible for handling various routine duties and assignments as directed by buyers and management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates cash register. Serves customers. Prices merchandise. Maintains inventory levels on sales floor. Maintains cleanliness of sales area. Performs related duties as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: Immediate supervision by the designated supervisor who will be available to deal with irregular problems or occurrences. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: None.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: High school graduation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: None. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Cash register, adding machine, and other equipment necessary for sales work. Exactness in cash and credit transactions and in giving information. Usual working conditions found in retail store. Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification may render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
