PURPOSE: To perform the supervisory, technical, and clerical skills to direct the operation of warehouse facilities. Responsible for the receipt, storage, and shipping of materials in a medium to large warehouse and for supervision of warehouse workers and/or Stores Clerks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Receives and inspects incoming freight. Prepares damaged freight claims. Unpacks, marks, prices, and stores goods and supplies. Checks incoming materials against invoices or purchase orders. Issues certain supplies and equipment to authorized persons. Ensures proper storage of materials. Ensures warehouse locations are assigned for all items stored. Ensures materials are delivered to appropriate departments. May be required to supervise and be responsible for the moving and placing of office furniture and equipment, classroom furniture and various other items in a timely, safe, and responsible manner. Compiles and prepares statistical reports. Clean storeroom and warehouses and keep stock in order. Performs related duties as required. Delivers materials to campus departments by truck.
