PURPOSE: To assist in providing responsible supervision of the operation of a central printing shop, and in coordinating administrative and academic printing requests from the various departments within the institution. Responsible for supervising assigned areas of the print shop operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Advises requesting departments as to available paper stock and appropriate colors, format, binding, etc., to produce requested job orders. Provides technical advice and direction to equipment operators and other employees. Assists in consulting, coordinating, planning and scheduling all activities involving production operations of the printing department. Checks finished work for acceptability against designated standards. Checks job tickets for accuracy in time and cost reporting. Provides maintenance care of all duplicating and printing equipment. Assist in inventory control, estimating, and purchasing. Performs related duties as required. Plans, coordinates, and supervises the activities of the Print Shop in the absence of the Print Shop Supervisor.
