PURPOSE: To provide the skills to teach, supervise personnel, perform research, and prepare teaching and publicity materials in the field of audio-visual communications. Responsible for organizing, conducting, and participating in conferences, workshops, demonstrations, and classes, and for initiating projects, promoting utilization of materials, and conducting research in the audio-visual field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, organizes, conducts, and participates in meetings concerning the application and utilization of audio-visual methods, materials and devices. Advises and assists in the selection, production, and supplying of audio-visual materials. Participates as contributor and consultant to professional organizations and/or publications. Originates public relations programs concerning audio-visual communications. Produces or directs the production of audio-visual materials. Performs related duties as required. Represents the department at meetings. Helps plan and maintain audio-visual equipment. Interviews and trains personnel.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education
REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree with courses in audio-visual education. Completion of additional graduate-level courses in audio-visual education.
