PURPOSE: Assist with design, update and maintenance of online courses and delivery systems. Responsible for application of principles and techniques of instructional design for maintenance and support of online instruction. Coordinate the design and delivery of new or revised courses with Staff and Faculty.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Updates online instructional materials for delivery to graduate and undergraduate students, maintaining integrity of effective instruction through technology. Maintains ongoing contact with faculty members via phone, email and fax. Provides assistance and training to faculty for the design and delivery of effective instruction through technology. Serves as a higher education learning professional giving faculty direction for effective pedagogies to be used with online instruction. Coordinates and meets strict deadlines with instructors and campuses. Assists with design and delivery of training for Learning Management Systems and other online learning tools used by faculty. Updates content for courses with Flash, Dreamweaver, Respondus, Acrobat and other online software packages. Ensures that all course delivery systems and courses residing on them are properly working through compatibility testing for multiple operating systems, web browsers, and multimedia plugins. Provides support to students. Communicates critical course issues to faculty to ensure academic integrity. Provides technical support to faculty and students for online teaching and learning tools

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education
REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Technology, Web Development or other related degree with strong experience in instructional design and development.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER:
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: EQUIPMENT: Knowledge of web-related hardware, including PC, Macintosh, web conferencing (e.g. webcams, microphones, external storage.) ACCURACY: Extreme accuracy in all phases of work. WORKING CONDITIONS: Working conditions are considered acceptable, but occasionally involve bending, stooping, or standing for long periods of time, or exposure to one or more disagreeable elements such as weather, dust and dirt.
