PURPOSE: To provide the University with the writing, editing and management skills necessary to develop the planning procedures and techniques used to produce general interest publications. Responsible for organizing and executing the University's publications and related aspects of a publication program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the writing and publication of official University publications. Conducts research and interviews for articles. Writes, edits, and develops ideas for articles. Selects and edits magazine content. Works with other writers, developing and editing their stories. Coordinates the updating process for the Undergraduate and Graduate Catalogs. Maintains contact with University community to insure special publication needs and projects. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree in journalism, English or closely related field.
