PURPOSE: To supervise the production staff in program development in the area of television and film. Responsible for the planning and scheduling of production projects and assignment of duties to other staff members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, schedules and develops production projects and makes project assignments. Plans and develops content of programs. Produces, directs and supervises video recording, filming and editing of programs. Develops quality standards on all productions Working with faculty to improve their electronically delivered presentations.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General supervision from Director, Associate Director, Assistant Director and/or other managers. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: General and specific supervision to interview, terminate, hire, and train personnel in varied regular classified positions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: High school graduation or GED.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Two years of supervisory experience in a multi-purpose public assembly facility or in stagecraft, maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems, custodial services in a public use facility, project management, or other relevant field. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of television, video and film equipment. Office or studio conditions including working around equipment used in the production of television, video and distance learning. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated to this classification render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
