PURPOSE: To perform tasks required for the delivery of stage craft services in a full service multi-purpose public assembly facility. Responsible for providing stage craft services required to operate varied professional entertainment events, private facility uses, and general maintenance of professional theatrical systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for labor needs of clients with regard to theatrical staging. Set up and operate all stage equipment required for the successful completion of professional entertainment events, private facility uses, and maintenance projects. Designs, hangs, focuses and operates theatrical stage lighting systems. Hangs and moves scenery, hangs drops, and sets up microphones and speakers. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: One year of experience performing stagecraft services for professional entertainment events or for private uses of a public assembly facility. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. with assistance. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Long and varied hours. Weekends and evenings normal. Physically demanding work. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated to this classification render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
