PURPOSE: To organize and instruct classes in vocational, professional, scientific, and special training programs. Responsible for planning and organizing programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaches specialized courses. Promotes interest in classes through personal contacts or interviews. Assists in publicizing classes. Keeps enrollment and attendance records. Assists in preparing instructional materials. May correspond with individuals and organizations regarding courses. Conducts on-the-job training. Performs related duties as required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General supervision from Training Specialist II's and III's and/or program director. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: May supervise clerical staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree with major course work in business administration, education, personnel management, or other related fields.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: One year of experience related to field of assignment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Use of audio-visual equipment, standard office equipment and/or personal computer. Proficiency in all phases of work performed. Typing may be required by employing department. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated to this classification render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
