PURPOSE: To provide advanced administrative and supervisory skills and abilities in the management of the Accounts Receivable section of a department. Responsible for supervising personnel in performance of accounting or financial management support functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees Accounts Receivables operations. Responsible for the billing and collection of receivables. Verifies validity of contracts, pays contracts, verifies entries after payment, bills sponsors and receipt payments from sponsors. Supervises the pre-collection process of the accounts. Determines when receivables programs should be scheduled and submitting the schedule of programs for each billing semester and monitors programs for accuracy. Verifies daily and monthly receivable reports. Analyzes section work load and determines work priority. Assigns duties and oversees work progress. Performs other duties as required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General supervision from immediate supervisor. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: General supervision of support staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor degree in Accounting or related degree.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Two years of experience in governmental or commercial accounting. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Usual conditions Special job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
