PURPOSE: To provide skills in the non-routine receipt, disbursement and recording of funds for the institution and assist in the daily supervision of the cashiering function. Responsible for supervision and assistance in the non-routine receipt, disbursement and accountability of university funds and for answering complex questions concerning institutional policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises and assists in non-routine receipt and disbursement of University funds. In addition to performing the duties of Cashier I and II. Prepares, merges and categorizes daily cash receipts. Performs data entry duties. Maintains and assumes responsibility for all fee payments and deposit records, such as general property, parking tickets, etc. Answers complex questions and resolves problems. Interacts with Registrar's Office, Bursars and Business office concerning student bills, loans, and returned checks. Verifies own daily account balances as well as Cashier I, and II accounts. Prepares daily statistical reports. Reports to the director of the department. Performs other related duties as required.
