PURPOSE: To perform supervision and highly skilled technical work involving the maintenance and development of computer and computer related equipment. Responsible for supervising and participating in the specialized technical work involved in the maintenance and development of computer equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises and assumes responsibility for computer equipment maintenance operations and computer development projects. Schedules, plans, assigns, and inspects work of subordinates in maintenance and development of computer equipment. Performs related duties. Consults with other staff or faculty members to assist in the evaluation or design of computer and computer related equipment.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General supervision from Manager of Operations and Services. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: Close supervision of skilled and semi-skilled workers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: High school graduation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Three years experience in the skilled maintenance of computers and computer related equipment and in the construction of special purpose interface equipment with at least two years of experience in the supervision of technical personnel. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Advanced skill in the use of electronic test equipment such as triggered oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, signal generators and frequency meters. Extreme accuracy required in all duties performed.
