PURPOSE: To advise and provide consultation to computer users on various skill levels regarding the effective use of computer resources. Responsible for providing routine information to faculty, staff, students, and various other groups regarding computers and their usage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Consults with users on the use of computer(s) for course or research work, provides solutions in resolving routine computer related problems. Advises users on the use of effective programming and debugging techniques. Provides routine computer services (ex. optical scanning, tape copying. etc.) to academic departments and other groups. Tests and installs third-party application packages. Writes and updates user documentation. Provides interface between other department groups and then user community. Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education
REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Three years of course work (including at least two programming courses) towards degree in computer-related field.
