PURPOSE: To provide advanced skills necessary to verify incoming data and finished reports, to analyze and process data, and to assist in the training of new control clerks/data analysts. Responsible for the coding and verifying of data, organizing and processing data records, and assisting in the training of new control clerks/data analysts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Organizes voucher, statistical reports, financial records, and other similar forms prior to data entry. Receives, verifies and logs in all data for processing. Originates interdepartmental job flow sheets to insure proper handling of data. Delivers verified reports to requesting departments. Compiles statistics for general information on workflow and volume. Checks output validity, recording input and output, and maintaining control totals. Performs related duties as required. Assists programmers in verifying statistical reports, enters data for special reports and performs secretarial duties as necessary.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General supervision with some special instructions in especially complex or new procedures. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: May assist in the training and may give general supervision to Control Clerks I.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: High school graduation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: One year of related clerical experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: General office equipment to include typewriters, CRT, adding machines, copy machines, and computer terminal. Typing or computer terminal experience may be required. Considerable accuracy necessary in all phases of duty. Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render the position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
