PURPOSE: To provide advanced skills necessary to maintain the quality control function of a computer database, to oversee the gathering and processing of data, and to assist in the hiring and training of new control clerks/data analysts. Responsible for interacting with others to monitor the flow of a wide variety of data, resolving difficult or unusual data analysis problems, and servicing as a lead resource person.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Verifies incoming data and finished reports in order to analyze and process data. Assists in the training and supervision of new control clerks/data analysts. Organizes voucher, statistical reports, financial records, and other similar forms to data entry. Receives, verifies and logs in all data for processing. Originates interdepartmental job flow sheets to requesting departments. Compiles statistics for general information on workflow and volume. Checks output, and maintaining control totals. Interfaces with user department personnel to schedule computer runs. Performs related duties as required. Assists programmers in verifying statistical reports and enters data for special reports.
