PURPOSE: To provide the technical experience required to modify and maintain enterprise data storage and backups. Responsible for system studies of medium complexity and for assisting in planning and developing modifications and enhancements to the enterprise data storage network system and its components.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Participates in the analysis of enterprise data storage systems problems of moderate complexity, and formulates and implements solutions to such problems. Performs data storage and backup, testing, and documentation. Recommends changes of data storage and backup procedures need to more efficiently use enterprise data storage systems. Designs the approved data storage and backup procedures and oversees their implementation. May specialize in a specific area of data storage such as switch or storage device configuration or backups with responsibility for implementation and maintenance. Performs other related duties as required. Participates in planning of enhancements and modifications to the data storage and backup systems, and identifies impact of such changes. Trains Data Infrastructure Specialist I as required
