PURPOSE: To provide assistance in researching and creating profiles on prospective donors. Responsible for researching, analyzing, synthesizing, and material demographic philanthropic and financial information about individuals, corporations, and foundations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with supervisor to coordinate research priorities and develop a strategy for fulfilling those priorities. Researches and prepares confidential donor and prospect profiles for use by the President, Vice President and Development officers in cu1tivating and soliciting prospects. Updates computerized prospect tracking and hardcopy filing. Reviews newspapers and journals for prospect information. Maintains development office library resource materials. Provides profiles and donor/prospect information as needed. Performs additional duties as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General direction form the Development Research Associate. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: May provide supervision for student staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree in related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: One-year experience in library or electronic research with Bachelor's degree or five years experience with high school graduation or equivalent. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Use of personal computer and various software; ability to use electronic database searches. Accuracy in all phases of work performed. Organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate confidential records, Usual office setting. Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
