PURPOSE: Works with multiple IT teams and university departments to develop, maintain, and enhance the ERP application. Responsible for gathering business requirements and designing, developing, and supporting the ERP application and serving as a hands-on ERP analyst and developer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interact with the user community to gather and document business requirements, conduct process analysis, and draft conceptual design. Create technical specifications and detailed software design documentation based on business requirements. Ability to design, code, test and install complex computer programs based on technical specifications using ERP development environment and the ERP developer's toolset (currently PeopleSoft and PeopleTools). Perform data mapping, conversion testing, and end-user documentation. Provide user assistance and direction for ad hoc data reporting and, as needed, develop reports using the PeopleSoft and Oracle reporting toolset. Assess the impact of PeopleSoft updates and provide proposals for applying them effectively. Works on multiple projects with competing deadlines requiring strong attention to detail and analytics. Assist users in completing user acceptance. Work with users and other IT members on a routine basis to troubleshoot reported problems pertaining to application software. Identify the cause, design or develop an approach for resolution. Upon approval, implement the correction/customize software to meet user specific needs. Provide 2nd level support for application problems. Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: BS in Computing or Information Systems, or related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Five+ years of systems analysis, design, and software programming in a combination of (experience may run concurrently) 3 + years extensive experience in analysis, design, and development utilizing PeopleSoft Tools (People Tools, Application Designer, App Engine, SQR, PS Query, PeopleCode, Crystal Reports) and/or 3+ years of PeopleSoft Application experience (version 8.x+ preferred). 2+ years of SQL Plus. Strong understanding of all phases of the application development lifecycle; specifically related to PeopleSoft application development. Strong understanding and application of project management disciplines. Experience integrating PeopleSoft 8.x with non PeopleSoft Applications. Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel). Familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts. Certifications in supported technologies. Excellent organization, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to work well with people in all levels of the organization OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Use of standard office equipment, personal computer, and Microsoft office.
