PURPOSE: Works with multiple IT teams and the university departments to develop, maintain, and enhance the ERP. Responsible for gathering business requirements and designing, supporting and implementing PeopleSoft application and serving as a hands-on ERP developer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interact with the user community to gather and document business requirements, conduct process analysis, and draft conceptual design. Create technical specifications and detailed software design documentation based on business requirements. Ability to design, code, test and install complex computer programs based on technical specifications using PeopleSoft development environment and the PeopleSoft developer's toolset. Perform data mapping, conversion testing, and end-user documentation. Provide user assistance and direction for ad hoc data reporting and, as needed, develop reports using the PeopleSoft and Oracle reporting toolset. Assess the impact of PeopleSoft updates and provide proposals for applying them effectively. Work on multiple projects with competing deadlines requiring strong attention to detail and analytics. Assist users in completing user acceptance. Work with users and other IT members on a routine basis to troubleshoot reported problems pertaining to application software. Identify the cause, design or develop an approach for resolution. Upon approval, implement the correction/customize software to meet user specific needs. Provide 2nd level support for application problems. Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: BS in Computing or Information Systems or related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Three+ years of systems analysis, design, and software programming in a combination of (experience may run concurrently) 1 year experience in analysis, design, and development utilizing PeopleSoft Tools (People Tools 8.x, Application Designer, App Engine, SQR, PS Query, PeopleCode, Crystal Reports) and/or 1 year of PeopleSoft Application experience(version 8.x+ preferred). 2+ years of SQL Plus. Must have a strong understanding of all phases of the application development lifecycle; specifically related to PeopleSoft Application Development. Understanding and application of project management disciplines. Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel). Familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts. Certifications in supported technologies. Excellent organization, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to work well with people in all levels of the organization. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Use of standard office equipment, personal computer, and Microsoft office. Extremely accurate in all phases of work. General office conditions.
