PURPOSE: To perform advanced, specialized and administrative duties in designated human resources program or section area.Responsible for providing high-level support in assigned department of the office of Human Resources.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Advises management on the formulation and administration of plans and policies for human resources activities. Provide back up assistance to Associate Director of Human Resources and act in his/her absence. Responsible for providing oversight to all human resource functions, specifically to Benefits, Records, Leave Management, Employment, Recruitment, Student Employment, HR Education, Employee Relations, Employee Assistance, Compensation, and Policies. Maintain clear understanding of all applicable UT System, University, State and Federal laws and regulations. Develops, coordinates and/or recommends policy statement or program changes for improvement of the human resource management function in addition to legislative policy updates. Reviews and evaluates non-routine or more difficult policy interpretation. Assists in the planning and organizing of assigned program or section area. May plan, assign and/or supervise the work of others. May function as an assistant to the section manager or as team leader. Performs additional duties as assigned.Participates in professional development sessions or seminars. Works on special projects. Leads special and cross-functional project teams. Presents training sessions related to assigned program or section area. Attends meetings, conferences and seminars.

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
