PURPOSE: Provides administrative and technical assistance in the management of information security. Assists in developing, monitoring and enforcing practices to ensure that information is secure from unauthorized access and inappropriate alteration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in the development, implementation, monitoring and support of access control, data confidentiality, system integrity, system reliability, system audit and recovery methods and procedures. Provides support in information security projects and requirements. Supports security equipment to ensure proper operation including upgrades and installations. Helps to develop and update security policies and procedures. Aids in facilitating training classes. Reports, records and works with departments to resolve security related issues and incidents. Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
