PURPOSE: To provide the managerial skills required to plan, coordinate, and direct the installation, maintenance, and repair of the digital network equipment and computer equipment. Responsible for organizing, scheduling, and directing the activities of a team of network specialist with the goal of optimizing the use of new and existing network technology to the benefit of all network users. Provide for the training and preparation of all Network Specialist and Computer Equipment Maintenance Technicians.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Researches and implements new and advanced techniques in network communication technology. Corresponds and coordinates with other support groups in order to provide needed network services. Trains and supervises network and computer maintenance technicians in repair techniques designed to minimize downtime of network. and computer resources. Create or modify custom software to solve unique communication problems. Interface with various vendors or manufacturers concerning equipment and software testing, purchase, and installation. Provide consulting with departments requesting information on network and computer utilization.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education
REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering, or equivalent experience.
