PURPOSE: To provide intermediate technical support for personal computing hardware, software and peripherals. Responsible for routine support of hardware, software, and peripherals for which an intermediate level of skill is required. Provides solutions for task that are of moderate complexity and duration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists client with the common uses of standard personal computing technology for academic and administrative functions. Consults with clients on standard personal computing. Install, setup, and configure standard hardware and software. Assist with support of hardware and software to meet departmental needs. Perform modifications to tools and processes used to automate personal computing support services. Diagnose and perform intermediate to advanced software and hardware, repairs. Obtains professional certifications as needed for vender specific processes. Performs related duties as required. Assist with research and evaluation of personal computing technologies. Assists in maintaining documentation for standards, services and procedures. Assists in training junior personnel in documented procedures.

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Two years of course work towards degree in computer related field, or equivalent practical experience.
