PURPOSE: To provide the expertise and experience required to develop and maintain technical support services for personal computing hardware, software and peripherals. Responsible for support of hardware, software and peripherals for which an expert level of skill is required. Provides solutions for task that are complex.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages service request process and dispatches personnel as required. Consult with administration and departments on personal computing needs. Plans and supervises research of new personal computing technologies. Research, develop, and deploy, tools and processes to automate personal computing support services. Coordinates work between departments, IT infrastructure and venders to implement required departmental solutions. Recommends and implements university-wide personal computing standards. Creates and maintain documentation for standards, services, and procedures. Devises and supervisees training. Obtains professional certifications as needed. Performs related duties as required. REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor degree in computer-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
