PURPOSE: To provide the entry-level technical skills required to translate the definitions and terminology used by systems analysts into the types of reports, charts and diagrams, from which programmers can efficiently perform their tasks. Responsible for basic program definitions limited to specific components of the overall electronic computing system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in the analysis of problems as defined by the systems analyst and expands the definitions to be suitable to the programmer's requirements. Designs test files. Performs moderately complex programming and debugging and modifies existing programs for specific uses. Develops more efficient programming techniques. Performs documentation. Assists on implementations of systems and job streams. Performs related duties as required. May assist in report preparation.
