PURPOSE: To provide the technical experience and necessary supervisory skills required to facilitate the transition of work from system analyst to programmers. Responsible for complex technical analysis in a variety of systems-to-programming areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Directs, and assists in. the work of Programmer Analysts in expanding block diagrams from Systems Analysts to a more detailed level for use by Programmers. Researches and defines advanced mathematical techniques to be used in programs. Consults with Systems Analysts on highly complicated problems associated with advanced programming techniques to allow full utilization of medium and large computer systems. Performs related duties as required. Prepares reports. Consults with personnel from departments requesting data analysis. Develops diagrams of complex and sophisticated logic.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: General review of work performance and results by Manager, Programming Services. SUPERVISION: N/A SUPERVISION-OTHER: General and close supervision of subordinate Programmer Analysts and Computer Programmers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education

REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES-OTHER: REQUIRED EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES: Three years of experience in analysis and programming for medium-size electronic computer systems. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Comprehensive knowledge of medium size electronic computers systems common to the University of Texas at Arlington. Exact accuracy is required.
