PURPOSE: To promote prevention detection and resolution of instances of conduct that do not conform to federal and state law, and federal, state program requirements, as well as the ethical and business policies of the University. Responsible for development, oversight and monitoring of compliance program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides assistance in the development and interpretation of policies and procedures. Assists in developing and implementing internal procedures. Coordinate and communicate the progress and implementation of the compliance program and proposes changes in response to changing needs of the organization, law, governmental policy where applicable. The incumbent may coordinate with other organizations regarding human resources, legal affairs, and other education and training programs focusing on the elements of the compliance program to ensure that all appropriate administrative, professional and support staff are knowledgeable of and comply with applicable federal, state, and industry standards. The incumbent implements and may coordinate with other organizational functions such as human resources, legal affairs, and others, education and training programs focusing on the elements of the compliance program to ensure that all appropriate administrative, professional and support staff are knowledgeable of and comply with applicable federal, state and industry standards. In addition, the incumbent will make aware the requirements of the compliance, etc. The incumbent monitors developments and changes regarding statutes and rulings, rules and regulations that impact compliance initiatives and brings them to the attention of management. They actively seek and obtain current information on changes in laws and regulations; and, makes necessary changes in the compliance program as needed. May be requested to conduct internal compliance reviews and monitoring of areas and/or departments annually or periodically. Development of programs and policies designed to encourage managers and employees without fear of retaliation. May review all documents and other information relevant to compliance activities. Reviews the status of the accounts during the fiscal year. Completes special projects and reports as assigned. Obtains advanced knowledge from attending workshops, seminars and review of industry standards. May perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education
REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies or other biomedical scientific discipline. Master's degree.
