PURPOSE: To supervise, on a shift basis, the operation of electronic computing equipment, as well as the processes associated with its use. Responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating the operation of high-speed digital computer equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises, assigns and evaluates work done by computer operators. Operates computers by responding to console messages and handling peripheral devices such as printers, tape drives, etc., in accordance with operating procedures. Reviews documentation and briefs operators on changes to hardware and software. Insures that operators follow established procedures in work and that they adhere to safety rules. Performs related duties.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: $education
REQUIRED EDUCATION-OTHER: High school graduation, supplemented by EDP/technical training.
